I Live in Apollo Beach Florida and started scrolling when my wife bought me an inexpensive scroll saw a few years ago. After a slow start, I began to uncover the fun of  scrolling. After working with various projects, I decided to exchange my nice, but limited, low end scroll saw for a much superior tool. Since then, I have discovered the real joy of scrolling and the great satisfaction of producing attractive works on a variety of subjects.

1. Why does Frank Scroll? - NASA won't let me fly the space shuttle...Spielberg refuses to give me my break...neither the Republicans nor the Democrats have recruited me to run for President...it's too expensive to hire someone to do it for me...
2. Why really? - I enjoy the complex yet simple process of using a scroll saw. You can create wonderfully delicate and angular wood carvings by applying patience and concentration on a relatively simple process. The range of applications is astonishing.
3. Are you a professional master wood carver artsy type person? - No
4. You have no special talent? If I throw a baseball to someone, there is a reasonably good chance they will be able to catch  it -  that's it, no great talent.
5. How long have you been scrolling? - I got my first saw about three years ago, but only began applying myself to the tool a couple of years ago.
6. Do you try to teach Scroll Saw?- Only by example, if that. I make mistakes and the learning curve is forever. My videos do not instruct except as an anecdotal aspect of my work. My goal is to simply show how interesting this kind of wood working can be.
7. Your latest project has a  Christian Theme. Are you a Christian? Yes, I was Saved and accepted Christ as my Savior on January 12, 1992.
8. How often do you make videos? Not too often. It is a hobby with no income and each video series adds more than a month and many additional hours of time to a project. Setting up the camera and editing takes a long time even with my simple and crude methods. Nonetheless, I enjoy doing it and with the music project I am hoping to develop a small ministry of adding Christian music to  shorts of an appropriate project. 
9. How did you find out about Steve Pettit? His team came to our Church a few years ago and they  not only brought a wonderful sound to our ears, but their Ministry convicted many of us including myself. They are very inspirational and  very committed to spreading the Word of Christ. After working on this latest project, I thought it might be enjoyable, and perhaps even become a channel  to introduce people to the Steve Pettit Evangelists and  help someone open their heart to the possibilities of knowing Jesus Christ.
